About the Role
This is not just a UI designer role. At Bibuain, the Product Designer transforms ideas into complete product specifications that developers can build. You will act as the crucial bridge connecting business ideas with software engineering.
Working directly with the CEO and lead engineers, you will take high-level features and map out exactly how they behave, how they look, and how data moves through them. This role is a growth role where you will receive intensive structured on-the-job training and master cutting-edge AI-assisted design and specification methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
User Journeys
Understand high-level business goals and map out intuitive user interactions, journey mappings, and screen layouts.
UI Design
Design beautiful, premium, state-of-the-art interfaces in Figma matching Bibuain's rich software aesthetics.
Feature Specs
Write detailed spec lists for every element—explaining what each button does, the validation rules, and error states.
Liaison Docs
Prepare structural guidelines for Frontend (UI rules) and Backend (API rules) to ensure developer alignment.
Required Skills & Mindset
Education & Portfolio
An HND, BSc, or equivalent degree in any field is preferred. More than certificates, we value logical thinking, clarity, and communication skills. A design or writing portfolio showing structured work is a major advantage.

Role-Specific Questions
Do I need standard software engineering/coding experience?
No, you do not need to write code. However, you must have an intense curiosity about how software works (APIs, databases, user interfaces) so you can explain exactly how features behave for developers.
What AI tools will I be trained to use?
We train our product associates to use advanced prompting workflows in ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, as well as AI mockup tools, to draft feature blueprints, proofread requirements, and generate structured user flows.
Is there a remote option?
No, this role requires physical presence at our Ibadan office for daily requirements mapping and direct CEO-founder synchronization meetings.
